Outside Lands Needs More Than Pearl Jam

SF music fest adds 10 acts, including popular local bands

Apparently Pearl Jam, Incubus, Modest Mouse, Dave Matthews Band, the Beastie Boys, Black Eyed Peas and Tom Jones were not enough for the folks at Outside Lands.

So on Tuesday, the organizers of one of San Francisco's largest music festivals added ten new acts to the show, which kicks off Aug. 28 in Golden Gate Park.

Ranger Dave, the apparent mascot for the festival, announced that Conor Oberst & The Mystic Valley Band, Lucinda Williams, The Avett Brothers, Tea Leaf Green, Zion I, Bat For Lashes, Groundation,Los Campesinos!, Darondo with Nino Moschella and Big Light would be getting up on stage as well.

Zion I, Tea Leaf Green Groundation and Darondo are all local acts who are well known in the Bay Area.

The second annual Outside Lands Festival will take place  from Aug. 28 to Aug. 30.

Tickets are still available on Outside Lands Web site.
