Taking the place of The Monday Room inside of Public, The Daily will be serving food and drink next to the Nolita restaurant. Designed by well-known restaurant group AvroKo, The hot new spot has its own entrance and is considered a separate entity from The Monday Room.

Gran Electra
Opening: March 26, 2012
5 Front St / DUMBO
Head chefs Bradford McDonald and Sam Richman of Noma and Fat Duck have opened Gran Electra in Brooklyn, serving Mexican-style cuisine emphasizing authentic dishes such as tortillas and chorizo and tortita de huauzontle.

PHILLY

Rimedio
Opened: March 31, 2012
4443 Spruce St / University City
Taking the spot of Rx, Rimedio opens this Saturday. "Rimedio" which means "remedy" in Italian refers to the location's former ownership by a pharmacy. Chef Dan Freeman is serving up northern Italian dishes.

Hop Sing Laundromat
Opening: Early-mid April
1029 Race St / Chinatown
Under Eater's "Top 25 Most Anticipated Restaurants of the Year," with its expectant opening date to be early to mid April, this craft cocktail restaurant will offer the most expensive liquor of any other cocktail restaurant in the country. The owner, known simply as Lee, has designed this place to have custom-made details, and is by far one of the most gorgeous bars in town.

CHICAGO

BadHappy Poutine Shop
Opening: March 21, 2012
939 N Orleans St / Near North Side
The specialty here will include french fries, gravy and cheese curds with a dozen different verifications, including the Redneck, which is braised pork shoulder, mac and cheese, fried okra and PBR gravy. And get this, poutines are available in every form, in a burrito shell and even on top of a burger. The name of the restaurant was made up by owner and chef Tom Kern who said "anything that can make me this happy is probably bad for me."

Estate Ultra Bar

Opening: February 29, 2012
1177 N Elston Ave / River West
Here, you'll find 28 beers on tap, most of which are local beers, and traditional American food food, such as lobster mac, steak frites and deviled eggs. The interior is sleek and modern with a rooftop deck that will open when the weather gets warmer.

BOSTON

Happy's Bar & Kitchen

Also on Eater's "Top 25 Most Anticipated Restaurants of the Year," Michael Schlow is the owner and chef of Happy's Bar & Kitchen, which will be his fifth restaurant. The food served will be diner-esque ,but will also offer specialties such as tuna crudo. Rumor has it there will also be a one-pound meatball prototype served at the restaurant.
