Three-Story Penthouse in NYC Asks $100M

Manhattan is certainly known for its pricey real estate, but this $100 million triplex penthouse may just take the cake. The New York Times reports that this incredible (errr... incredibly priced) penthouse, located on 56th Street between Seventh and Eight Avenues, is owned by Steven Klar, president of the Klar Organization.

The sky-high triplex penthouse features an internal elevator, a wine closet that can host up to 1,000 bottles, six bedrooms and nine bathrooms. Perhaps most astounding (besides the price, of course) is the home's 3,000 square feet of wraparound terrace space. Klar claims that the unit boasts the highest terraces in all of the Big Apple.

The penthouse, which is shaped like an octagon, boasts 135 windows with views of all the city's bridges, 360-degree terraces on three floors, and 8,000 square feet of interior living space. Klar scooped up the home in 1993 for a relatively mere $4.5 million as a raw space, so if he fetched anywhere near the list price, Klar is set to have one gigantic pay day.

This home is listed by Prudential Douglas Elliman.
