Diablo Cody Making Directorial Debut With “Lamb of God”

Do you think seeing the way "Jennifer's Body" was handled had anything to do with Diablo Cody's decision to take up direction?

Cody will make her directorial debut, working with her own script for "Lamb of God," reported Deadline. The story follows a young woman of faith who loses her way after surviving a plane crash and decides to move to Las Vegas to embrace her more hedonistic urges. But somewhere along the way, she rediscovers her God. This is sure to offend someone.

But this is also exactly the kind of story that Cody should be quite comfortable with, seeing as she launched her writing career by blogging about her experiences as a stripper, a vocation she took up on a whim after participating in an amateur night a Minneapolis club.

The next script from Cody to hit the big screen will be "Young Adult," which reunites her with "Juno" director Jason Reitman. The film stars Charlize Theron as a young-adult novelist who moves back to her hometown in the hopes of winning back her ex, played by Patrick Wilson, who is married with children. It should be out later this year, we'd guess during awards season.
