YouTube Now Streams 58 Languages

As YouTube looks to expand its catalog of original programming, it may want to solicit pilots from Bollywood.

After all, the Google-powered video-sharing site is now available in four more languages spokes on the Indian subcontinent.

The San Bruno-based company announced this week that its site can now be navigated in Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam and Telugu.

YouTube began serving videos in India in 2008 and five years later its site can be viewed in several Indian languages, including English, Hindi, Urdu, Marathi, Bengali and Tamil.

In addition to adding the languages to the site, YouTube also announced that it will have programming available in the different languages.

The website is now available in 58 languages.
