Google's Oct. 29 Event Details Revealed

Google will debut the latest version of its Android operating system, Android 4.2 and two new devices at its Oct. 29 even in New York City.

The event will feature the new operating system, a new high-end tablet from Samsung and LG's Nexus 4, according to CNET. There will also be a new 32GB Nexus 7 tablet, the Next Web reported. This could be considered Google's biggest Nexus event, at least from apparent buzz in the press.

Google's Nexus back history has been a mixture of manufacturers, from the first from HTC, then Samsung and a  cheapie $199 Nexus 7 from Asus. The new Nexus 10 tablet  by Samsung isn't expected to be a bargain, but close to the price of the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (starting at $349).

The new Nexus 4 smartphone from LG will features a quad-core SnapDragon processor and 2 MB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. It will also have a 1280 by 768 display and an 8 megapixel camera.

While this event is unlikely to get the same press as Apple's announcement this week, it's still one to watch.
