Apple Updates the MacBook Air With a Healthy Spec Bump

Apple unveiled the newest line of its MacBook Airs Wednesday morning, keeping the same super-thin design while bumping up most of the specs.

The new line of MacBook Airs feature Sandy Bridge i5 and i7 processors, Thunderbolt ports, backlit keyboards and OS X Lion pre-installed. The cheapest model is the 11.6-incher, which gives you 64GB of storage, 2GB of memory and a 1.6GHz Core i5. The specs ratchet up from there to the 13-inch model loaded up with a 256GB SSD, 4GB of RAM and a 1.7GHz Core i5 for $1,599. For $100 more, you can bump that up to a 1.8GHz Core i7.

They're pricey, but if you're looking to get a new Apple laptop, these sure must be tempting.
