Christ Is Coming, Get Tweeting

Could Facebook and Twitter be the salvation of man?

Rev. Franklin Graham believes the second coming of Jesus Christ could be announced through social media.

The son of the prominent Christian evangelist Billy Graham gave the prophecy to ABC's "This Week" host Christiane Amanpour.

"The Bible says that every eye is going to see [the Second Coming of Jesus]," Graham told Ammanpour. "How is the whole world going to see [him] all at one time? I don't know, unless all of a sudden everybody's taking pictures and it's on the media worldwide. I don't know. Social media could have a big part in that."

The 58-year-old cited a verse that says Jesus will be coming on "a cloud and the whole world will moan."

Graham was quick to point out that he is not saying Jesus will come back on Facebook or Twitter himself but instead he could make his announcement on the Silicon Valley social networks, or his arrival could quickly become a trending topic of the likes that no one has seen.

He equated the announcement of the Second Coming to the way news of recent world events in the Middle East has spread through Twitter, Facebook and even YouTube.

And of course, Jesus already has several Twitter accounts.
