Google's Chrome Unites Twitter, Klout

Google announced its new Chrome browser enhancements, promising a speedy experience with password synching and new dialogue boxes.

"In our new beta release, JavaScript is as quick as a bunny," wrote Google Jeff Chang and Min Li Chan on the Official Google Blog. "Chrome’s JavaScript engine V8 runs compute-intensive JavaScript applications even more quickly than before. In fact, this beta release sports a whopping 66% improvement on the V8 benchmark suite over our current stable release."

But that's not all. Klout, the social influence metric, released its Chrome extension -- Klout for Chrome -- which can be added to one's Twitter timeline. (The beta download is right here.) Basically the Klout extension retrieves a Klout score on everyone in one's timeline, so users can read others' tweets and see how much or worse everyone else is at social networking. (Hint: The Klout score is from 1 to 100, and the closer to 100 means an incredible amount of social influence and savvy.)
