Obama Could Use Google, Apple's Help in the White House

In the movies, the US president's pad is always high-tech. There's always a top secret underground chamber filled with a bajillion screens, GPS-trackers, and gadgets with "fancy buttons" and stuff. According to President Barack Obama, the gadgets in the Oval Office suck.

Speaking at a reelection rally in Chicago on why the US needs to innovate in tech:

"The Oval Office, I always thought I was going to have really cool phones and stuff."

"I'm like, c'mon guys, I'm the president of the United States. Where's the fancy buttons and stuff and the big screen comes up? It doesn't happen."

Google, Apple, Microsoft — somebody, get this guy some gear. We already know the leader of the free world loves his BlackBerry to death and can't live without it, uses an iPad regularly and has a MacBook Pro, but he's right. Where's his secret emergency Batman phone?

Surely, even Russia's President Dmitry Medvedev has a better crib with more gadgets right?
