U.S. iPhone 5 Supply Stabilizes

An analyst's poll of Apple stores shows that the iPhone 5 is now physically available at most Apple Stores across the country.

Piper Jaffray analyst Gene Munster conducted a poll of 20 U.S. Apple's brick-and-mortar stores and found that iPhone 5s were readily available, including Verizon models which were the most difficult to find, according to AppleInsider. The iPhone 5 hasn't been easy to find in physical stores since its launch in September.

"We believe the iPhone 5 has finally reached a point where consumers can walk into an Apple Store and walk out with a phone," Munster said in a note to investors on Thursday.

Is it a coincidence that it's now available during the lucrative holiday season? We don't think so. However, the numbers that Munster kept show that Verizon models have been startlingly low since launch and had a steep climb to Black Friday. Now Verizon, Sprint and AT&T all have more than 90 percent availability in Apple stores, according to Munster, and consumers will have a better chance of scoring one in person than waiting a week for delivery from Apple's online store.
