The Bay Area Record Fair (or BARF) has the most unpleasant acronym imaginable, but it is still worth a spin to score some cool finds.
Record swaps and sales are nothing new around these parts, of course, but BARF has more to distinguish itself than shock tactics. The organization's second annual event on September 27 at Thee Parkside has the participation of at least two dozen local labels, including Alternative Tentacles, Father/Daughter, and 1-2-3-4 Go!
The event is free, but early bird tickets ($5) are available now for crate diggers who want to get going with BARF an hour before the general entry time.
