Beer and Music Are Together at Last

50 Mason Social House event connects suds and songs

Does beer taste better when paired with music? This question will be explored at a one-off event called "Drinking/Songs: A Night of Beer and The Music That Goes With It."

Delaware's Dogfish Head Craft Brewery already forged a Bay Area music connection when it brewed up Positive Contact, an ale in collaboration with San Francisco hip-hop producer Dan The Automator. This month, Dogfish returns to California to provide six India Pale Ales for this event, held in conjunction with San Francisco cicerone Sayre Piotrkowski and VoiceBox, a KALW radio program that is focused on vocal music.

The topic of suds and sounds has been explored locally for several years by SF blog Beer and Rap. Even though this party features live vocal music by the Fill A Steins, we, would love to throw in a request for the night: A cover of the latest song about craft beer, Infinite Skillz' "Started Sipping Cider."

The event takes place on May 29 at 50Mason Social House in San Francisco and will be broadcast on VoiceBox on June 7. Tickets are available in advance for $15 via Eventbrite.
