Metallica's Kirk Hammett Hosts Horror and Music Festival

Fear FestEvil takes over the Regency Ballroom on Feb. 6-8

Metallica's lead guitarist Kirk Hammett is taking his well-known love for scary movies to the next level with his own music and horror event called Kirk Von Hammett's Fear FestEvil, set to take place at Regency Ballroom in San Francisco on February 6-8.

Hammett has an extensive collection of horror memorabilia, which he documented in the 2012 book Too Much Horror Business and much of which will be on display at the FestEvil.

Expect live music performances from Death Angel, Carcass, and Orchid, and there will be appearances by Hammett pals Slash and Scott Ian of Anthrax. Hammett himself plans to perform during the encore of legendary Bay Area thrash metal group Exodus. Other scheduled appearances include actress PJ Soles (Halloween) and director, actor and special effects artists Greg Nicotero (Walking Dead) and Tom Savini (Friday the 13th, Day of the Dead).

Tickets range from $37.50 for an early bird day pass to $200 for an all-event VIP pass.
