Sketch of Grateful Dead poster on sale for six figures

A set of sketches of a Grateful Dead poster is worth almost half a million dollars to one eBay seller.

Okay, that's a bit of an exaggeration. The item's actual "buy it now" price on eBay is $417,558.58.

The eight-piece set of sketches by artist Alton Kelly depict the tower of skulls on the poster that was produced for the Grateful Dead's "Memorial" concerts at San Francisco's defunct Carousel Ballroom on May 30-June 1, 1968.

Prospective buyers are allowed to make an offer, but be forewarned that it is going to need to have some zeros on it.
