Now that Brian Wilson has no baseball to play, he's gotta find something else to do. That something else appears to be talking about virtual events... on virtual events.
According to the Snitch, The Beard has been poached by ON24 to speak at a virtual event about virtual events.
He is the first athlete to speak at such an event, but ON24 thinks he's perfect. According to a survey of business execs done by the company, over half said athletes are easier to understand and more interesting than business speakers.
"I'm hosting the VUE because I know what it takes to win, in both sports and business," Wilson says in a statement. "Just like in baseball, business success requires confidence and communication. You also need the right equipment ... Remember, fear the beard, not the technology," Wilson said.
