Did Uribe Burn Bridges and His Loft?

A late-night fish fry apparently got a little out of hand in Juan Uribe's rented pad across from AT&T Park, resulting in $145,000 in damages, a decimated kitchen and water damage to three lofts, according to SFGate.com.

Uribe is back in town to play the Giants, starting Monday night. Maybe he brought his checkbook?

The landlord gave the Gate a rallying cry of a quote, too: "When you hear the boos from the fans (tonight), I'll be one of the loudest," Christina Esteras said.

The story Esteras tells has Uribe hosting a little bash on June 29, catching the kitchen on fire, triggering the sprinkler system that damaged his unit and the two below.

According to her, Uribe admitted what happened, promised to pay and then left town.

Former Giants Randy

Johnson, Reggie Sanders and Felip Alou all had rented the 2-bed, 2-bath pad out before Uribe did at $4,400 a month, Esteras said.
