Spring training is still weeks away, but for many San Francisco Giants fans the season really starts Saturday at Fan Fest.
Tens of thousands of fans are expected to flood the field at AT&T Park for a chance to get up close and personal with their favorite players.
Nearly 30 players and coaches will be on hand, including fan favorites Buster Posey, Sergio Romo, Matt Cain, Brandon Crawford and Tim Lincecum. It will also be the fans’ first chance to meet new additions Tim Hudson and Michael Morse.
One player who won't be there is third baseman Pablo Sandoval. He's in Venezuela continuing his off-season workouts.
The gates open Saturday at 10 a.m. The event is free to the public.
By the way, Saturday will also be the first chance to buy single game tickets for the regular season.
