Matt Cain Bobblehead is 2012 Giant Race Prize

The 10K race is sold out, but the 5K and full marathon still have availability.

On Sept. 16, the Giant Race will kick off at AT&T Park. If you run in it (you can register right here), you won't just have the benefit of helping charity, you'll also be able to score a Matt Cain bobblehead.

And not just any Matt Cain bobblehead -- it's a Matt Cain bobblehead that features the Giants star in a jogging outfit and looks like the love child of Dirk Nowitzki and Michael Cera from Juno.

The bobblehead is terrifyingly awesome, but it's also for a really good cause, Project Open Hand.

"Project Open Hand is one of the Bay Area's best-known, most respected and beloved charities," the Giants said in a release. "For more than 25 years Project Open Hand has provided food, nourishment and emotional support to people facing life-threatening illnesses."

The team also said that "as a long-time supporter of the Giant Race and ... Project Open Hand, Cain was more than pleased to lend his likeness to the Giant Race giveaway."

He also was apparently willing to be seen publicly in ridiculously short shorts.

The Giant Race kicks off at AT&T Park and also ends at AT&T Park, where all the races wrap up on the field. The 10K race, per the press release, is sold out, but the 5K and full marathon still have availability, though the Giants say they expect it to sell out before the event rolls around.

It's currently featuring more than 10,000 runners and, once again, you can register right here and score yourself a tiny little version of Matt Cain that will simultaneously keep you safe and terrified at night.
