San Francisco's notorious sandwich shop that just won't go away is back and this time making national news.
The "Matt Cain" sandwich from Ike's Place is one of the finalist in ESPN's 2011 "Fanwich Contest," which allows fans to vote for the greatest sports sandwich in the country.
The sandwich and the restaurant are both endorsed by Matt Cain, as evidence by the YouTube interview below.
There were over 160 entries and it is down to five, with Ike's concoction that combines roast beef, turkey, salami and avocados with beer battered mozzarella sticks and onion rings. The fan favorite is topped off with Ike's secret dirty sauce.
