Pablo Sandoval Named World Series MVP

Pablo Sandoval was named the World Series MVP after the Giants sweep.

The Giants, following 4-3 win in Detroit on Sunday night to give them a sweep of the Tigers, are World Series champions. And Pablo Sandoval is World Series MVP.

The Panda was named World Series MVP immediately following the Giants win in Game 4 of the World Series and he absolutely deserves it.

Sandoval went 8-for-16 in the Giants sweep, smashing three home runs -- all in one game -- knocking in four RBI.

"Hard work, the up and downs you have in your career," Sandoval said. "So you have to work and it's just an incredible moment, you're never going to forget."

That .500 batting average was the highest of anyone on either team and his three homers equalled the total for the entire Tigers roster.

Sandoval wasn't completely dominant the rest of the way after a monster first game or anything, but he had some timely hits and taking apart Justin Verlander in the first game of the series really set the tone for the Giants victory.
