STANDING NEXT TO A CLYDESDALE? It's an experience many a horse aficionado longs for, but the chance doesn't come around all that often. After all, the majestic and famously sizable horses may be seen on television, but they're usually not trotting down our neighborhood lanes (unless you happen to reside on an especially magical lane that's adjacent to a Clydesdale farm, and, if so, wow). So when the iconic Budweiser Clydesdales clip-clop back into the region, that's something worth neighing about, and if the beautiful animals' visit coincides with a springtime holiday? Well, best prepare to neigh, neigh, neigh it up. The mane-rocking, large-of-hoof superstars'll call upon the Budweiser Brewery Experience in Fairfield from Wednesday, May 9 through Sunday, May 13, and if you happen to be there on Mother's Day — that is, yes, May 13 — there will be "exclusive beer cocktail specials" available in honor of the occasion, including Pine-Apple-Rita Fizzes.
HOW TO SEE THE HORSES? "Guests are invited to get up close with the gentle giants during stable viewings or snap a picture with one of the famous horses on Clydesdale Camera Days," say the organizers. You'll learn a bit of the history of these horsey sweeties, and how they've been an enduring symbol of Anheuser-Busch for well over eight decades. And does a Dalmatian always travel with the traveling team? Woof, which, you got it, is "yes." To find out more about brewery tours, and which tours have been created solely for guests ages 21 and over, visit the site for all the prices and information. Or, yes, clip-clop over, if you've polished your Clydesdale-style abilities with moving with mane-tastic equine grace. Note that Camera Days fall on May 9 and 10 while Hitch Days are schedule for May 11, 12, and 13.
