Great tunes, famous wines, and a sublime Napa Valley setting? Best purchase that ticket ASAP. Up first, on June 29? St. Paul and the Broken Bones.

IT'S A WIDELY KNOWN TRUTH, at least among those people who attend a lot of concerts, that a glass of wine is fairly easy to get. Of course, you'll need to be 21 or over to purchase it, but finding a glass of rosé or pinot noir to purchase at a concession stand inside an arena or performance hall is a pretty easy thing to do, all in all. But flipping the story? And looking for a concert at a winery rather than wine at a concert? That's going to be trickier, for sure. For while a winery may have calm music playing on the overhead speakers, all to complement your wine-tasting session or tour, there isn't going to be a full band on the grounds participating in a full-on, amp'd-out, feel-the-power show. Live music of such stature can be found, however, at a fabled Napa Valley destination each summer. It's the...

ROBERT MONDAVI WINERY... we're referring to here, of course, and we say "of course" because its warm-weather concert series is now the stuff of legend. As it should be, for the tradition has now been around for a half century. As for what's coming in 2019? The 50th Annual Margrit Mondavi Summer Concert Series will take place over five Saturday nights, beginning on June 29. The headliners? Prepare to feel the sound and sparkle as you reach for your ticket-buying money, as St. Paul and the Broken Bones, The Struts, Thievery Corporation, Rodrigo Y Gabriela, and Matt Nathanson are all headliners. The headliners are primo, in no small part, because BottleRock Presents is the producer of the series (yep, the outfit behind Memorial Day Weekend's BottleRock Napa Valley).

GOOD TO KNOW? There are three different ticket levels to peruse, including General Admission, Reserve Patio, and Dinner. For sure, Mondavi wine will play a major role at each evening, as will sublime supping, which will be available at both the seated dinner and at the local vendors on hand, too. And the beneficiary of the series? Napa Valley Unified School District's music programs. All proceeds will help the programs, in fact, making this long-runner of a wine country gem as important as it is enjoyable.
