A San Francisco-based artist is telling the story of Mexican heritage through her paintings and sculptures.
Ana Teresa Fernandez is most known for her piece Borrando la Frontera. In the painting, she gives the illusion of camouflaging a section of the U.S.-Mexico border.
Fernandez says being a migrant herself affects the way she paints and portrays areas of inequity.
