36th Annual San Jose Juneteenth Park Festival

Celebrate freedom at the 36th Annual San Jose Juneteenth in the Park Festival! There are several kick off events highlighting community excellence, education and cultural heritage that will be held at AACSA, 304 N. 6th Street, San Jose, CA 95112. 

On Thursday, June 15, 2017, from 6:30-9pm Community Leaders & Members, Corporate Leaders and Employee Resource Groups will be honored for their impact in Silicon Valley. These individuals are committed to fight for freedom for all in our diverse society.

On Friday, June 16, 2017, is the Education Before the Celebration debut of Dr. Khalid White & BLKMPWR, LLC (Black Empower) documentary, Black Fatherhood: Trials & Tribulations, Testimony & Triumph, in the South Bay. The film showcases several African American dads in the Bay Area recounting their experiences in fatherhood.

The park opens for the Juneteenth in the Park Festival event at 12 noon on Day 1 Saturday, June 17, 2017 with the Grand Opening at 2pm. On Day 2 the Church in the Park Festival will start at 11am, followed by Gospel hour. The festival will start at 2pm. There will be music, art, networking and recognizing the contributions individuals and groups have made in our community.
