Why One Thousand Cranes? “Origami cranes are symbol of peace and luck. Thousand Cranes are believed to bring a wish of those who makes to those who receive.” said Nobuko Nakajima, one of the co-coordinator for the Thousand Crane Project. “The cranes will be displayed at the event on March 10th and will be sent to the children who became orphaned as a result of the tragic earthquake and tsunami in Japan by the event organizer.”
