Senior citizens qualify for free animal adoptions at both Berkeley Humane and Berkeley Animal Care Services to celebrate National Senior Citizen’s Day! Having an adorable cuddly companion can help senior caretakers rediscover the joy of having a cat or dog in their life! The senior animals are the shelters are mature, trained, and calm yet have a hard time finding loving homes. To honor National Senior Citizen Day both shelters will offer year-round adoption programs to adopt senior pets at reduced rates. This year the shelters wanted to do something extra special and offer 100% waived adoption fees! Come on in and check out the animals that are looking for their forever home!
