The Chinese Historical and Cultural Project (CHCP) is having a celebratory dinner gala on September 23, 2017 at Fairmont San Jose, commemorating 30 years of preserving Chinese and Chinese American history and culture.
The theme of the gala is "Our Legacy Lives On… Educating the Voices of Tomorrow." It inspires the new grant program for 4th and 5th grade students to actively participate in learning about the journey and resilience of Chinese immigrants helping San Jose and Santa Clara County thrive. An opportunity to help funding for this program will be raised at the gala including a silent auction, donation drawings and much more.
CHCP will be recognizing four honorees in these categories:
Visionary Leadership - Dr. Albert & Anna Wang, Friends of Children with Special Needs
Individual Community Leadership: Michele Lew
Organization Community Leadership: Kristi Yamaguchi’s Always Dream
Foundation
Legacy Family: The Dr. Peter Yee Family
