The Nichi Bei Foundation is hosting the Eighth Annual Films of Remembrance, a one-day film showcase commemorating the signing of Executive Order 9066, which set the wheels in motion to forcibly relocate 120,000 Japanese Americans into internment camps during World War II.

The Nichi Bei Foundation is hosting the Eighth Annual Films of Remembrance, a one-day film showcase commemorating the signing of Executive Order 9066, which set the wheels in motion to forcibly relocate 120,000 Japanese Americans into internment camps during World War II.

The film showcase will include screenings of films related to the mass incarceration of Japanese Americans during World War II, including “Alternative Facts: The Lies of Executive Order 9066,” a documentary feature that sheds light on the people and politics which influenced the signing of the infamous executive order that forced Japanese Americans into internment camps.

The screening will be followed by a discussion moderated by filmmaker Dianne Fukami, featuring director John Osaki, consulting producer Lauren Kawana, attorney Don Tamaki and Joseph Tsuboi.
