February is American Heart Month, as a reminder for women everywhere to Go Red. About 433,000 women each year die from heart disease. The American Heart Association hopes to touch hearts and save lives by contributing to building healthier lives starting with where you live and where you work. Since 1949, the American Heart Association has spent more than 3.3 billion on research to help educate about health care to increase knowledge about cardiovascular diseases and strokes. On Thursday, February 11, 2016, Jessica Aguirre our NBC Bay Area News anchor had the chance to emcee the Go Red for Women Luncheon in San Francisco. Together we can unite and prevent heart disease for our mothers, daughters, sisters, and friends who may be at risk. Get informed and know the red flags to improve the health for women everywhere.
