Next Door Solutions to Domestic Violence, Santa Clara County’s oldest and largest non-profit domestic violence service provider, will host its annual “Light Up the Night” event - an evening of celebration, inspiration, and remembrance of recent victims of domestic violence. The event coincides with October’s National Domestic Violence Awareness Month. “Light Up the Night” will be held at 6:00PM, Thursday, October 17, 2019, at the Corinthian Grand Ballroom, located at 196 North 3rd Street in San Jose, CA. The event will be emceed by NBC Bay Area reporter, Damian Trujillo.
As part of the event, a survivor will share her personal journey and that of her children to overcome their own experience with domestic violence and Assemblymember Ash Kalra will be honored with the “Legislator of the Year” award. Music will be provided by Modern Love. Funds raised from a silent auction and raffle will support Next Door Solutions’ mission and survivor services.
