On Monday, January 20, honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. with the Alameda County Community Food Bank's 5th annual Day of Service! As Dr. King once said, "Life's most persisten and urgent question is: What are you doing for others?" Here are two ways you can help our community:
- Volunteer in the warehouse: Help sort and package fresh produce and holiday food drive collections for delivery to our neighbors in need! Click here to register. If you can't come on January 20, you're still needed! organize a group of five or more on any weekday from now through March.
- Donate to food and fund drives! The Food Bank is always in need of quality, non-perishable protein items, such as canned meats and peanut butter (but all donations are welcome)! You can drop donations off in person at the Food Bank (7900 Edgewater Drive in Oakland) or by donating online.
