Bay Area food banks serve over 780,000 local residents each month, join NBC Bay Area at Safeway's "Help Us End Hunger" food drive. The food drive makes it easier for our community to help feed their neighbors in need. NBC Bay Area anchors & reporters will volunteer at their local neighborhood Safeway to encourage shoppers to donate.
To make the donation process easier, a specially produced shopping bag filled with items that food banks need the most will be available for $10 at all local Safeway stores. To purchase, shoppers can remove a flyer from the tear pads and take it up to the register to donate. The bags will be available for shoppers to purchase now through December 25.
NBC Bay Area anchors & reporters will also be lending a helping hand at your local Safeway. Here is a list of locations and times you can say hello.
