Wags and Whiskers, a music festival and adoptathon, hosted by Pets In Need will be held on June 21, 2014, from 10am to 6pm, on the main concourse at Canada College in Redwood City. This annual festival will feature wonderful music, awesome animals ready for adoption, events for kids, prizes, food trucks, wine, beer and much, much more. It is a family friendly community event where people can enjoy lively music, good food, and meet wonderful shelter animals who might become their best friend.
The world-renowned Chris Cain Band is part of the multicultural musical line-up for Wags and Whiskers, which also includes East Oakland’s very own Mariachi mi Tierra Linda, the Bay Area based reggae band Nesta and the San Jose Junior Taiko.
In addition to music, there will be dog tricks performed by The Busy Bee Dogs (formerly homeless pets) who were recently featured on Animal Planet with their lively routines.
Dozens of adoptable dogs and cats from the Pets In Need shelter will be available that day at no charge to new forever homes. All Pets In Need shelter animals have been spayed or neutered, are current on appropriate vaccinations and are micro chipped.
