Autism Speaks, the world’s leading autism science and advocacy organization, is proud to host the 13th annual Bay Area Walk Now for Autism Speaks fundraising and awareness event on Saturday, May 16, 2015. All proceeds from this philanthropic event will support Autism Speaks’ work, both locally and nationally, to increase awareness about the growing autism health crisis, fund innovative autism research and family services, and advocate for the needs of individuals with autism and their families.
NBC Bay Area’s very own Kris Sanchez will be the emcee for this year’s Bay Area Walk Now for Autism Speaks. San Jose Mayor Sam Liccardo will also be in attendance, welcoming the community to the walk to show his support for the cause. This annual walk is a unique fundraising event that offers a safe and fun day for the families impacted by autism, with music also provided by local musicians affected by autism.
