Be a Part Of The Coastal Cleanup Day!

Join the Largest Volunteer Event in California

California Coastal Cleanup Day, an annual beach and inland waterway cleanup, is the state's largest volunteer event. In 2010, over 82,500 volunteers removed more than 1.2 million pounds of trash and recyclables from our beaches, lakes, and waterways.

If you are unable to arrange for your students to get out to a shoreline cleanup on Saturday, you can hold your event on Friday, September 14. If you cannot take a field trip, you can plan to clean up a nearby park, creek, or even the area around your school!

When: September 15

Recommended Items to Bring: Reusable bucket, Half-gallon and opened milk carton, Reused plastic shopping bags and other large containers.
