Christmas in the Park Celebrating 35 Years

Christmas in the Park Celebrating 35 Years

At Christmas in the Park this year, you can expect some very special events to help make your holidays magical. Start things off each Wednesday with special movie nights featuring Polar Express, Home Alone, White Christmas, and Miracle on 34th Street (1994). Saturday December 6th from Noon until 3pm Unleashed by Petco presents Dog Day at the Park – where you can bring your furry friends to visit with Santa. On Saturday December 13 there is the  annual Breakfast with Santa event at the Fairmont from 9am-12pm and they will also be holding their Toys for Tots “Stuff the Bus” event from 8am-5pm. On Sunday the 14th the third annual TiVo “Santa Run Silicon Valley”. New Year’s Eve at the park is also very special this year as they present Disney’s Frozen followed by a live performance by SAGE. As part of their 35 in 35 program this year, they are asking visitors to bring in gently worn baby clothes in order to donate to Loved Twice.

If you want the perfect Downtown for the Holidays experience, make sure you don’t miss out on Downtown Ice, produced by the San Jose Downtown Association. It doesn’t matter if you are an experienced ice skater or a beginner, everyone is invited to grab a pair of ice-skates and enjoy the beautifully lit palm trees at Downtown Ice. Located across the street from Christmas in the Park, at Circle of the Palms. This ice rink is actually bigger than the one at the Rockefeller Center in New York City! So grab your friends and family and join other fellow ice-skaters for an experience you’ll never forget.

When you visit Christmas in the Park, stop by Winter Wonderland, produced by Giant Creative Services. At Winter Wonderland, you can go round and round, and up and down, and get dizzy on their exciting rides. Winter Wonderland, Downtown Ice and Christmas in the Park have partnered to bring you an even better Downtown holiday experience with classic rides, popcorn and candy apples. Buy an unlimited rides wristband and enjoy the gigantic Ferris Wheel over and over again. So treat yourself to these memorable rides, attractions and deliciously fun treats.
