Cinco de Mayo on Cypress

What: Ole! Friends and family can celebrate Cinco de Mayo with a Fiesta in downtown Walnut Creek. Cypress Street becomes a colorful festival full of music, food, shopping, dancing and fun. Live music from Orquesta Bembe and special Mexican dance performances from Ballet Folkloric Costa de Oro are sure to spice up the night!
Fiesta-goers can Spin the Wheel of Walnut Creek Fortune for a chance at winning a prize and enjoy tasty treats from Food Truck Mafia and other goodies, along with a selection of local craft beer and wine. Children will enjoy free face painting.
When: Wednesday, May 3, 5:30 – 8:30 p.m., and every first Wednesday through October 2017.
Admission: Free!
Where: Walnut Creek First Wednesdays takes place on Cypress Street, closed for foot traffic only between N. Main Street and Locust Street.
Free Car Parking: Free in Walnut Creek’s garages after 5 p.m. at:
• 1625 Locust Street (Next to the Lesher Center)
• 1350 Locust Street (Above Lark Creek Restaurant)
• 1390 N. Broadway (North of Il Fornaio)
Valet Bike Parking: Free on Commercial Lane at Cypress Street, provided by Bike Walnut Creek.
