Hillbarn Theatre hosts their 26th Annual BRAVO! Awards, their largest annual fundraising event for 2014. The BRAVO! Awards has honored leading figures in the artistic community since 1989. Proceeds from the awards will help to raise money for Hillbarn Theatre’s growing Conservatory program which educates children and adolescents from ages 4 to 18 in the performing arts, as well as supporting the 6 main-stage productions put on every season by the theater.
This year’s show honors two people who have had a great influence in the artistic community. Receiving the Hillbarn Theatre 2014 BRAVO! Award is former Hillbarn Music Director Greg Sudmeier, whose extensive career also includes work at LucasFilm where he collaborated with many award winning artists from Randy Newman to Journey. Lee Foster, Hillbarn Theatre’s former Executive Producing Director, will be receiving the 2014 Encore Award. She directed two Hillbarn shows, including the smash hit Ragtime and the award-nominated production of The Color Purple.
