Meet Black Author's and City of San Jose's Sixth Bridge Library Grand Opening

Join NBC Bay Area’s Kari Hall at the Meet Black Authors event and the City of San Jose’s Sixth Bridge Library Grand Opening!

The African American Community Service Agency (AACSA) in partnership with the Black Leadership Kitchen Cabinet is hosting the grand opening to celebrate a community bookshelf at AACSA’s family resource center, giving families access to library services.

This initiative is intended to provide a bridge between families and the full range of library services offered at San Jose Public Library locations.

The AACSA's goal is to engage, inform and invite the community and black authors in a discussion about the importance of literacy, how to write a book, and be present for the ribbon cutting of the Sixth Bridge Library which is a part of the new First 5 Family Resource Center (FRC) at the agency.
