National Alzheimer's Disease Awareness Month and Pure Imagination Project

Every 66 seconds someone can develop Alzheimer's disease. This November, take the time to learn more about the 6th leading cause of death in the United States. The Alzheimer's Association Pure Imagination Project is a new, creative campaign to inspire people to take action to end Alzheimer's.

This campaign features the iconic “Pure Imagination” scene from the film Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, starring legendary actor Gene Wilder, who passed away from complications from Alzheimer’s last year. As the characters in the familiar movie scene explore Wonka’s magical, candy-filled world, the candy disappears piece by piece, symbolizing the impact of Alzheimer’s on individuals and families.
