Pat's Run

Pat's Run, the annual 4.2-mile (he wore No. 42 at Leland High School and at ASU) run that pays tribute to Pat Tillman, the former Sun Devils and Cardinals standout who gave up his NFL career to join the elite Army Rangers and was killed in Afghanistan.

Proceeds from the event benefit the Pat Tillman Foundation and his Leadership Through Action initiative. The April 25 run (or walk) finishes at the 42-yard line at Pat Tillman Stadium / Leland High School.   To get ready for the race we have provided a 42-day training plan prepared by Perry Edinger, Pat's former ASU athletic trainer, who also prepared Tillman for his first marathon. He also served as Lance Armstrong's pacer in the 2007 New York City Marathon and won the "Ultra Slam" last year for completing four of the biggest 100-mile ultra events in the least total time.
