EMQ Families First presents “Every Child is a Rising Star,” the Silicon Valley Community Awards Luncheon to honor community leaders for their hard work and dedication to changing the lives of children in crisis. This luncheon is a celebration of 147 years of service for kids in crisis in the Silicon Valley community. The luncheon will benefit children and their families in EMQ Families First’s Bay Area Programs.
NBC Bay Area’s own Mike Inouye will be the emcee for this event. Retired California Highway Patrol Officer, Sergeant Kevin Briggs is the special guest speaker for the ceremony and had special experience with crisis management and negotiations with persons suffering with depression and other mental health issues while working as a police officer. Today, Kevin is active in efforts to promote crisis management and leadership skills. For more information, click here
