The 5th annual Northern California Soy and Tofu Festival of Japantown, San Francisco returns this year on June 6, 2015. Presented by the Nichi Bei Foundation, this fundraising festival event supports the Nichi Bei Foundation and the nonprofit community newspaper, the Nichi Bei Weekly, promotes healthy benefits of soy bean product consumption, and enhances the public knowledge of soy and tofu products.
This exciting culinary and cultural event has witnessed tremendous growth, from 3,500 attendees in its first year to 20,000 in its fourth year in 2014. This year’s festival will feature Soy and Tofu vendors, live performances, a Soy and Tofu dessert competition, a raffle, children’s activities, and nonprofit information booths.
