Westfield Valley Fair's Lunar New Year Celebration

Ring in the Year of the Ram with Westfield Valley Fair at their second annual Lunar New Year Celebration. Right now through February 28, the shopping center will be filled with décor reflective of Lunar New Year, including vitrines throughout the shopping center that will display Lunar New Year fashion trends. Some retailers are having special promotions for the celebration and the shopping center will be hosting cultural activities throughout the month to celebrate the holiday. On February 28, 2015, join West Field Valley Fair for a culminating festive community event to close out the Lunar New Year Celebration.

Westfield Valley Fair partners with local community organizations to showcase Asian-American student artwork and give back to the community. This year, they have invited some new partners. The San Jose Museum of Art will be participating, showcasing student art projects in a pop-up storefront. The San Jose Public Library will be providing children with arts and crafts activities. And in the spirit of giving back to the community, West Field Valley Fair is displaying a wishing tree to raise funds for Asian Americans for Community Involvement, a community-based organization whose mission is to improve health, mental health, and well-being of individuals, families, and the Asian community. Make a donation to AACI and hang your good wish for the new year on the wishing tree.
