The Halal Guys, a cult favorite in New York City known for its gyros, chicken and rice and consistent lines, will open a location in San Francisco's Tenderloin.
While the Berkeley location at 2126 Center Street, previously announced, is currently under construction, Eater SF reports the Guys will likely open a 26-seat restaurant in San Francisco at 307 O'Farrell Street first.
Opening dates have yet to be announced.
Halal cooking refers to food that is prepared under Islamic dietary guidelines, something the Bay Area hasn't traditionally had in abundance.
