San Jose Jazz Summer Fest: Tower of Power, The Internet, More

More than 100 diverse musical acts encompassing the worlds of jazz, R&B, salsa, blues and more are slated to play live at the San Jose Jazz Summer Fest on August 7-9.

What began as a relatively humble gathering in 1990 has grown into a three-day celebration with 12 different stages while still being economical.

Among San Jose Jazz Summer Fest's expected highlights are Oakland's Tower of Power, buzzing LA soul experimentalists The Internet, New Orleans funk legend Zigaboo Modeliste, and iconic bandleader Eddie Palmieri with his Latin Jazz Band.

Tickets range from $15-55 for single day access and $55-325 for three-day passes; children are welcome and cost $5 per day.
