Actress Zsa Zsa Gabor underwent surgery today to remove a blood clot, her publicist said.
Gabor was taken to Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center after complaining of pain and bleeding from a hip, John Blanchette told City News Service.
The 93-year-old Gabor will be hospitalized for a few more days, Blanchette said.
``Her doctors told us it was a fairly routine procedure, that it wasn't something to panic over,'' Ed Lozzi, publicist for Gabor's daughter, Francesca Hilton, said tonight in a telephone interview.
``Initially she was supposed to have a pin adjusted, and she was going to come home. But they decided to keep her, to avoid traveling back and forth.''
Gabor was heavily medicated after surgery, but was conscious, Lozzi said. Today's surgery was performed two days after Gabor returned home, and complications developed during her recovery from hip replacement surgery, according to Blanchette.
Blanchette said earlier today he was informed shortly after 1 p.m. by Gabor's husband, Frederic Prinz von Anhalt, that an ambulance had been summoned to take her to the emergency room at UCLA.

Gabor had just returned by ambulance to her Bel Air home Wednesday. She suffered a hip injury July 17 when she fell at her home while reaching to answer a telephone. She underwent hip-replacement surgery two days later.
Zsa Zsa is the last of the three Gabor sisters, all of whom had careers in show business. Magda, who was the eldest, died in 1997 at age 82. Eva, who starred in the 1960s CBS sitcom ``Green Acres,'' died in 1995 at age 76.
Born Sari Gabor on Feb. 6, 1917 in Budapest, she was discovered by opera tenor Richard Tauber during a trip to Vienna in 1936 and was invited to perform in ``Der Singende Traum,'' or ``The Singing Dream.'' She arrived in the United States about 1941.
By the early 1950s, she was appearing in films.
