Donny & Marie to Return to Stage Following Her Son's Suicide

Vegas show will resume next week with makeup dates

Donny and Marie Osmond are set to return to their Las Vegas show on Tuesday, with several new dates added to make up for performances canceled in the wake of her son's death.

Marie Osmond's 18-year-old son, Michael Bryan, jumped to his death from his L.A. apartment Feb. 26. He left a note blaming his suicide on severe depression and alienation, according to Entertainment Tonight.

“As we all know, whenever there is a situation when there needs to be rallying,” Donny Osmond told ET. “The Osmonds rally around each other and support each other. There’s a lot of that going on right now.”

The duo have added five shows between April 13 and 17 at the Flamingo Hotel & Casino.

"These were previously unscheduled show dates, added to accommodate guests who had tickets to recently canceled shows due to the personal tragedy in the Osmond family," according to a press release.

"I think performing will help the healing process for her," the show's producer, Chip Lightman, recently told People magazine.
