Someone needs to explain the concept of "emergency" to Paula Abdul.

Following a fight with her boyfriend this past Valentine's Day, the former "American Idol" host frantically dialed 911 claiming she was being detained against her will.

According to 911 transcripts, Abdul claims ""I want out of this car and he won't let me."

Less the a minute later, Abdul reveals that the offending lover is, in fact, dropping her off per her request, then the call cuts off.

A few days later, a representative for Abdul made a statement saying that "everything had been worked out."

OK, everyone. You can breath again.
